Arboretum Teleidoscope, 2011
Done in collaboration with Joan Giroux

I designed interactive robustness, safety and vandal resistance into this kaleidoscope/telescope public art installation for the Morton Arboretum near Chicago. I collaborated with Joan Giroux to create a weather-proof stainless steel telescope that tilts without pinch points, and rotates- but not toward the sun, while providing a unique perspective on the pond and gardens. This installation opened to the public in May 2011.
